Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

TeleCV is operated by Maksym Dolhov ("we", "us", "our"). For questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us at support@telecv.com.

We are the data controller of the personal data you provide when using TeleCV, within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

2. What data we collect

When you create an account and use TeleCV, we collect:

  • Account data — your email address and account preferences.
  • Authentication data — your password is stored only as a secure hash. We never store your password in plain text.
  • CV / profile data — work experience, education, skills, projects, certifications, and any other information you enter into your profile.
  • Job application data — company name, position, job descriptions, and application status you record in the app.
  • AI-generated outputs — match analyses, tailored CV content, and other results produced by our AI features on your behalf.
  • Consent record — a flag indicating you acknowledged this policy.

3. How and where data is stored

Your account, profile, job applications, and AI-generated outputs are stored securely on our servers. Authentication uses secure server-side sessions. Your browser stores only lightweight preferences (such as theme, language, and consent status) in localStorage.

4. AI processing

TeleCV uses AI features to analyse job descriptions, evaluate profile-to-job fit, and generate tailored CV content. When you use these features:

  • Relevant parts of your profile and job data are sent to a third-party AI provider for processing.
  • We send only the minimum data necessary for the specific task.
  • AI outputs are stored on our servers and associated with your account.
  • The AI provider does not retain your data beyond the duration of the request.

AI features are always initiated by you. No data is sent to the AI provider without an explicit action on your part (e.g. generating a tailored CV).

5. Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregate page-view data. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies, does not collect personal information, and does not track individual users across sites. You can learn more in Vercel's analytics privacy policy.

6. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the basis of:

  • Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — processing is necessary to provide the TeleCV service you have signed up for, including AI-powered features.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — collecting anonymous analytics to improve the service and storing your consent record so we do not show the notice repeatedly.

7. Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time via Settings → Danger Zone → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data from our servers.

8. Sharing with third parties

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your personal data to any third party, except:

  • AI provider — when you use AI features, the minimum necessary data is sent to our AI provider for processing (see section 4).
  • Hosting and analytics — the service is hosted on infrastructure that processes requests on our behalf. Vercel Analytics collects anonymous page-view statistics only.

We do not use advertising networks or sell your data.

9. Your rights under GDPR

As a data subject under EU law, you have the right to:

  • Access — obtain a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate data (directly in the profile editor).
  • Erasure — delete your account and all associated data (Settings → Danger Zone).
  • Restriction — restrict processing in certain circumstances.
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@telecv.com. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

10. Automated decision-making

TeleCV does not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Tailored CV suggestions are tools to help you — they do not affect any outcome outside the app and you always have full control over your final CV content.

11. Children

TeleCV is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us immediately.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
